Embrace the Season of Wintering
Kundalini Yoga, Gong Meditation, Journaling & Winter Smudge Stick Crafting
Join Sarah for an immersive three-hour Wintering Workshop designed to help you ease into winter’s slower, restorative rhythms. As the days grow shorter and the pull to turn inward becomes stronger, this workshop offers a cozy space for mindful movement, deep relaxation, and grounding rituals to carry you through the colder months.
We’ll begin with a warm herbal tea and a discussion on "wintering"—how we can embrace this season’s wisdom and find a rhythm that honors both our need for rest and renewal. There will be time to journal and set intentions, using this period as an opportunity to reflect and prepare.
You’ll be guided through a gentle Kundalini yoga sequence, designed to warm the body and cultivate inner stillness, followed by a deeply restful gong meditation to release stress and enter a state of deep relaxation.
Finally, we’ll craft our own smudge sticks from winter’s foraged treasures—sage, eucalyptus, pine, and other herbs. This ritual of handcrafting connects us to the natural world even in winter’s stillness, as we carefully select, arrange, and bind the plants with intention—creating a meaningful keepsake for grounding and clearing to support you through the months ahead.
WHY WINTERING?
In a season often dominated by busy holiday preparations, social events, and travel, it’s easy to overlook the restorative nature of winter. This workshop invites you to slow down and nurture yourself in alignment with nature’s cycles, so you can approach the holidays grounded, balanced, and replenished.
Together, we’ll explore ways to welcome winter with more ease, less resistance, and a sense of surrender. Instead of pushing through with the usual “go-go-go,” let’s honor the season by choosing more “yin” practices—gentle movement, rest, and mindful presence.
If you’re ready to flow with winter’s slower pace and learn how to truly “winter well,” join us for this special evening of grounding practices, introspection, and connection. This workshop offers a beautiful way to connect with the season, honor your body’s need for rest, and enter the Christmas season with a renewed sense of peace and purpose.
